Sara Jane Leckey

Leckey, Sara Jane (Hagerich), 91, of Vinco, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024.  Born on March 23, 1933 to Ralph and Ethel (Gillin) Hagerich.  Preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack M. Leckey; daughter Deborah Leckey Gerlach; brothers Robert, Glenn, Paul & Rodney; sisters Fay, Helen, Mary Lou & Marge.  Survived by sister Wanda and brothers David and Larry.  Also surviving are children, Dr. Donald (Cathy) Leckey; Douglas (Ellen); Daniel (Roxanne) and Darlene (Garry) Moore; grandchildren Mindi, Neil, Amy, Justin, Brigitte, Derric, Kellie, Ryan, Jackelyn, Aaron, Kiel, Zachary, Jordan and Grace; along with 12 great-grandchildren.  She was employed by Lee Hospital Emergency Room, Dr. Wint’s office and the American Red Cross.  She was a life-long member of the Vinco Brethren Church where she played the organ and enjoyed singing.  We want to thank the staff of The Village of Maple Heights in Ebensburg and Laurel Highlands Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Mother.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Vinco Brethren Church would be greatly appreciated.  Friends will be received at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd. from 2-8 on Thursday and Friday from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at the Vinco Brethren Church, Rev. Wes Lewis officiating.
