Susan R. (Thomas) Furry

Susan Roberta Furry, 76, of Johnstown, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at home with her husband and son by her side after battling brain tumors for eight years.  Susan was born in Johnstown, on September 18, 1941, daughter of the late Charles Clifford and Alverda H. (Hill) Thomas.  She graduated from Johnstown Central High School, a member of the class of 1959.  Susan married Robert W. Furry of Johnstown, on September 2, 1961, and they celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary last September.  She was a loving spouse, mother and grandmother.  Preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Lynne; a son, David Wayne and her brother, J. Russell Thomas.  She is survived by her husband, and son, Robert W. II, and wife Christel, of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren, Thomas A., Michael A., Nicholas A., and Emma M., all of Orlando; and three nieces and a nephew.  She leaves behind her faithful companion Buddy.  Retired from the Purchasing Department of CTC Corporation.  Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, 11:00AM at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church , Rev. Scott Klimke.  Interment Richland Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 PM, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd, Johnstown, PA.
