Thomas Wiegman Obituary

Thomas J. Wiegman, 85, Upper Yoder Twp., died May 3, 2021.  He was born April 27, 1936, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Thomas McGee and Ruth (Maier) Wiegman, in addition he was predeceased by his 1st wife Barbara Ann Hartman, and sister Lorraine.  He is survived by his wife, the former Christine A. Schuster, children, Diane Lynne (Janet Jaksic), Pittsburgh; Jeffrey Thomas (Faith), Nanty Glo; Tracy Dumm, (Thomas), Nicktown; Jason Eric Myers, (Holleigh), Johnstown: grandchildren, Lauren, Jordan, Devyn and Circe.  Tom graduated from Perry High School and the University of Pittsburgh, with a BS in business, and where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta and was on the swim team.  As a young man he participated in speed boat and waterskiing events, he was a member of the PA Air National Guard.  Later he owned Southern Allegheny Office Equipment, was a member of the Westmont School Board, Sunnehanna Country Club, Ducks Unlimited and member and steward of the Tremont Club.  Tom was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and recently trap shooting.  Friends will be received at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, West Hills, on Friday from 6:00 until the time of services at 7;00 PM, Rev. Julie Sprenkle officiating.  Interment Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cambria or Somerset Humane Society.
