Walter C. “Moe” Hill, 98, Scalp Level, died December 2, 2020, at Windber Woods, due to Covid -19. Born September 7, 1922, in Johnstown, son of the late Roscoe Clyde and Marie (Roloff) Hill, and also preceded in death by sisters Anna Marie Hill and Mildred Lenz and son-in-law Kirk A. Hughes. Survived by son Albert C. Hill, Geistown; granddaughters, Amy Hughes, Westmont, and significant other, Anthony Tomak; and Lori Hill, and husband John Himes, Harrisburg; Great-grandsons, Steven Hill, Harrisburg; Dylan Hughes, Johnstown; great-great-grandsons, Tanner and Ezra Hill both of Harrisburg. Moe was a WWII Navy veteran 70 year member of 1st United Methodist Church, Johnstown, and 28 year member of Windber United Methodist Church, he was very religious, with the most important thing in life being God and his family, especially his granddaughters. He worked at GE Supply for 45 years. In his younger years, he was active in many sports playing and coaching in the Moxham Lutheran Basketball League, he was an avid Duckpin bowler, and a member of the YMCA for 70 years.
