Willie Belle (Williamson) Eckenrod

Willie Belle Eckenrod, 98, went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2023 at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown, PA.  Born August 5, 1925 in Georgia.  She was the daughter of the late Halet and Ella Williamson.  She was married to the late John L. Eckenrod for 34 years at the time of his passing.  She is a member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Johnstown.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons John R. Eckenrod, David C. Eckenrod; along with brothers, AJ Williamson; Frank Williamson; sisters, Erlene Bowens; Myra Nell Williamson, all of Georgia; sister, Dora Lee Hill of Milton, PA.  Survived by children, Eileen and husband Gary E. Hoffman; Clyde and wife Karen; Jackie and husband Steve Muich; Carolyn and husband Benny Britt; daughter-in-law Betty Eckenrod, wife of the late David Eckenrod, all of Johnstown, PA.  She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  She was an avid bowler for many years at the Austrian Hall.  She loved to fish, dance, play bingo and spend time with her family.  Friends will be received on Friday from 4-7 PM at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 921 Menoher Blvd.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Saturday at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Revs. Matthew Baum and James Crookston concelebrants.  Interment, St. John’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John Gualbert Cemetery.
