John was one of those rare persons who took it on himself to be of help to whomever he felt was in need. As a schoolmate (class of 1944) I was privileged to be a recipient of his kindness. It was unconditional. Rare then and still rare. I don't think many realize the huge uplifting that came from the little things he did. Sleep well, dear John and know there many who did and still appreciate what you gave to our lives.

So very sorry to hear about John's passing. He was a true Odd Fellow and will be missed.
