Ralph F. Turner, 87, Johnstown, died August 15, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1929 in Hooversville, the son of the late John and Pearl (Mowry) Turner. Preceded in death by grandson, Ronald William Turner Jr.; brother, Blair Turner and infant siblings, Thomas and Mildred Turner. Survived by wife, whom he married August 3, 1968, the former Nancy Mack; son, Ronald William Turner and wife, Sunday, Johnstown; grandchildren, Ronald William Turner, II, Skylar Turner and September Guidry. Also survived by brother, Paul Turner, OR; sisters, Hazel Penrod, Stoystown and Lucy Penrod, NY. Ralph was a Korean Conflict, Army Veteran and retired from the freight car division of Bethlehem Steel Corp. in 1983. He enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, hunting and especially eating. Ralph was a member of First Lutheran Church, where funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday. The Rev. Lynne O’Shea officiating. Friends will be received from 3-7 PM, Wednesday, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd. Interment Oak Cemetery.
